Radhanath Swami and the Scanning

Radhanath Swami’s room in the Radhagopinath Ashram, on that day, felt like the hollow of a scanning machine. What was scanned?—my mind, which had been for a while bristling with innumerable misconceptions—some related to philosophy and others to temple management. Who was the doctor?—Radhanath Swami, who diagnosed every wrong idea cooped in my skull and spelled out its folly.

How was all this happening? After all, these were the thoughts that bounced secretly—just between me and my mind.

“How did you know what thoughts I had been harboring?” I asked Radhanath Swami.

“By observing you. Simply through observation I understand many things. In fact, I learnt the basics of my spiritual life simply by observing the Ganges,” he replied.

The air of mystery about his last statement was somewhat cleared-off years later, when I read his autobiography, The Journey Home. There he speaks in some detail of the times he spent on a rock amid the River Ganges.

radhanath swami observes everything minutely n tries to find the root of it

very nice article.. i too had once a similar experience with Radhanath swami, and i asked a similar question.. but his reply was “I know because i care!”

Radhanath Swami’s observations on the Ganges river are very inspiring, as we come to know of this from his book, The Journey Home. The vedic literature also describe the great quality of river Ganges, wherein great souls pray that their attraction towards God may flow just like Ganges flows towards the ocean, without being disturbed by any obstacles that may come on the way. Thanks for sharing & reminding me about the Ganges river.

For a person who is most pure at heart, the supersoul from within reveals many things. Radhanath swami is one such saint.

One who is engaged in spiritual service, continuously for many years they become not only pure but they can read the minds of others very easily. in olden days the rishis were able to see present.past, and future. So Radhanath swami also a great saint

We can learn so much by observing things around us. By reading The Journey Home, i’ve learnt to be more observant.

Thanks for sharing this! It reveals the saintly nature of HH Radhanath Swami.

Thank you for sharing. Yes maharaj observes very minutely and can read our mind and heart easily.

These are eyes of Pure heart!!! When i became a Radiologist that time Radhanath Swami told me that now i can see inside people and i told maharaj: “I can see inside this body, but you can see inside the heart/soul”..His vision is much more powerful than any scanning machine science can invent!!

“In spiritual life, higher or lower is not about how much you can accomplish; higher or lower is about the purity of your motivation, the spirit of your compassion and love.”

yes prabhu ji. Its very amazing how he has learnt most important and valuable lessons from a seemingly least noticed activities. He is embodiment of realizations.

Just by observing do we have an insightful lesson, isnt this new for the material world. But Spiritual principles gives you a different dimensional view of everything.

Yes even I had such a similar experience…Mhj just spoke exactly about it in his class on the same day and I was amazed How did Mhj know that? Thank you for sharing…!!
