Radhanath Swami’s VIP

Radhanath Swami’s Instruction to treat everyone with great care and patience.

11th January 1998, at the opening of Mira Road hospital, I was given the service to make continuous announcements over the public address system. Also I was expected to guide different categories of guests and invitees. Radhanath Swami was already in the hospital taking a guided tour. When Radhanath Swami reached the reception area where I was standing he immediately complimented me “ I could hear your voice over the PAS – you sound like the airline announcers.”

I was immediately happy to hear that and inflated quite few kilos immediately.

Then Radhanath Swami asked me “But why are you standing in the podium area?’ I replied I am trying to guide the visitors and spot VIP’s so that they could be guided separately.

Immediately Radhanath Swami lowered his voice and tone asking piercingly, “How do you know who is a VIP?”

I was dumbfounded and fumbled to even give a reply. Sensing my discomfort Radhanath Swami said “Everyone here is a VIP – why are you discriminating?”

This incident stuck on to my memory and even now when I am at functions I remember to treat everyone with great care and patience, trying to remember the amazing instruction – Everyone is a VIP. And we can see in the life of Radhanath Swami how he treats everyone like a VVVIP.

Treat every one as your master, this will surely develope humility and Radhanath Swami treats even the liftmen, Car drivers, even other living entities like animals, birds, etc. as VIPs. This is possible just because Radhanath Swami sees the presence of God in every living entity. very nice and inspirational experience with Radhanath Swami. Thank you for sharing.

This is the excellent quality of Radhanath Swami- his humility free from any tinge of pride or ego. Only a humble person can treat every other person like a VIP despite himself being a VVIP.

For Radhanath Swami everyone is a VIP whether he is rich or poor unfortunately in India the tendency is we consider a rich man a VVIP he might be a womenizer, uncultured man just because he is rich he becomes great. Radhanath Swami is teaching us to go beyond the bodily conception of life.

This is so true…..anyone who has had even a moment’s association with Radhanath Swamican vouch this statement, that Radhanath Swami treats everyone so wonderfully, like VVIP. We truly feel that we don’t deserve that. However, Radhanath Swami, Who truly is an Acharya, which means one Who teaches by His own example, shows us that we should try and imbibe the same mood and try to follow in the footsteps of such a great Acharya. We must pass on the same love, care and warmth to others that we have received from such saintly souls.

This is such a wonderful event, and gives us an opportunity to learn so many things from it – humility, treating all equally, listening to the instructions of Guru Maharaj, etc. Thanks you so much Maharajji.

Radhanath Swami actually incorporates the spiritual values of the Vaishnava philosophy in his day to day life & activities. Everyone is equal in his eyes & he treats everyone with same amount of love & care. There is absolutely no discrimination there. Radhanath Swami is always fixed on spiritual platform. Everyone is a child of God. Some hve better facilities and some dont in this world due to their past karma, however they are all inherently good…one who see this does not discrinate…
